On Wednesday 28 September 2016, the Pontifical Academy of the Sciences and the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace have hosted a day’s consultation to evaluate the reception and impact of the Encyclical Letter “Laudato Si” a year after its publication and nearly a year after the Paris Agreement of the COP21. Alongside members of the Pontifical Institutions, distinguished scholars and leaders from various sectors have presented their views on the Encyclical Letter, the environmental, economic and social changes it calls for, in view of the COP 22 scheduled in Marrakesh on 7-18 November 2016. Judge Amedeo Postiglione, ICEF Director, has participated in the consultation (see related documents) stressing the need for a new global governance for the environment.
